ME 490-JS - Non-Traditional Manufacturing

Course Description and Outcomes

A study of non-traditional manufacturing processes and other manufacturing aspects not covered by introductory manufacturing. At the end of this course, students will be able to

  1. Identify applications and understand physics of different non-traditional manufacturing processes.
  2. Create computer numerical control programs for 2.5 D milling and lathes
  3. Document the product development process and create test sets for manufactured products
  4. Effectively communicate manufacturing processes to others through verbal, written, and graphical means.
