Students who complete this course should be able to:
- Identify problems, generate ideas to solve problems, and solve problems.
- Break a problem down into objectives and requirements.
- Identify design issues and improve upon said designs.
- Present their designs in an oral and written format.
- Effectively document the design process.
- Design products with customers in mind.
- Apply engineering principles to improve designs.
- Make attempts and take risks that result in successes and mistakes, and be able to effectively respond to said mistakes.
- Perform multi-objective optimization to improve their designs.
- Effectively design a product for FDM printing.
